Transfer Agreements
Transfer & Articulation Agreements
To provide students with seamless pathways to a baccalaureate degree, the Connecticut State University System (CSUS) - Central, Eastern, Southern and Western - has numerous program-to-program articulation agreements in place with colleges within the Connecticut Community College (CCC) System.
Articulation is a term used to describe the agreement that certain courses taught at a two-year CCC will be accepted at a four-year CSUS institution. This means the CSUS will accept credits from the CCCs as listed in the agreements.
Students should contact their community college advisor for information regarding transfer credits in specific programs.
Dual Admission
The Connecticut State University System and the Connecticut Community College System have developed a system-to-system Transfer Compact which will offer by 2010 a Dual Admission program for students who are planning to enroll at a CSUS university after completing an associate's degree. The new program begins in Fall 2009. Learn More
Development of the new program follows the signing of a system-to-system Memorandum of Understanding on March 29, 2007 which outlined a process for the 12 community colleges and 4 universities to collaborate in establishing such a program to benefit students by easing the transition from completion of an associate's degree to pursuit of a bachelor's degree.
