Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) provide small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs a wide array of technical assistance support which helps strengthen business performance and sustainability and adds to the creation of new businesses entities.
In Connecticut, the Small Business Development Center program, located at the four universities of the Connecticut State University System and the state Department of Economic and Community Development, is designed to deliver up-to-date counseling, training and technical assistance in all aspects of small business management.
CT SBDC services include, but are not limited to, assisting small businesses with financial, marketing, production, organization, engineering and technical problems and feasibility studies. Special CT SBDC programs and economic development activities include international trade assistance, technical assistance, procurement assistance, venture capital formation and rural development.

Institute of Technology and Business Development (ITBD)
At: Central Connecticut State University ITBD supports Connecticut businesses and business-related organizations with Training, Technology Assistance, Conferencing Services, Procurement Services and Business Incubation.
