The Connecticut State University System is the largest public university system in Connecticut and consists of four comprehensive universities with more than 35,000 students and 180,000 alumni.

The Universities - Central, Eastern, Southern and Western - offer high-quality graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 160 subject areas and provide extensive opportunities for internships, community service and cultural engagement.
  • Undergraduate enrollment across CSUS is at the highest level on record.
  • The total number of degrees conferred by Central, Eastern, Southern and Western has increased by nearly 10% since 2001.
  • New student applications continue to increase throughout the CSUS system, with an increase of 9% (2,091) in 2007 from the previous year.
  • The number of full-time students attending CSUS universities has increased by 37 percent since 1996.
  • 62% of CSUS students transfer from other Connecticut institutions; two-thirds of those from Connecticut Community Colleges.
  • Two-thirds of Connecticut's current teachers attended a CSUS university.
