CSUS is Connecticut's largest university system, with four comprehensive universities and nearly 36,000 students. Across CSUS, 93% of students are from Connecticut.
Currently, CSUS has more full time students than ever, increasing nearly 44% since 1996. [25,295 full-time students compared with 18,005 in 1996] Total full-time and part-time enrollment is at the highest level in the past six years: 35,891. Students of color comprise 17.4% of CSUS students -an increase from 14.7% in 2000.
After graduation from Central, Eastern, Southern and Western, 86% - nearly 9 of 10 - remain in Connecticut to pursue their careers, raise families and contribute to the state's quality of life.
