Our Universities

Central Connecticut State University, Eastern Connecticut State University, Southern Connecticut State University and Western Connecticut State University each have a long and distinguished history of achievement and service.

As comprehensive, fully accredited universities, CSUS institutions offer a broad range of learning opportunities, ranging from the liberal arts to professional programs in business, computer science, nursing, teacher education and technology. CSUS students develop the communication, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills essential for a career or further study.

The strength and quality of a CSUS education is the interaction between students and faculty. Teaching and learning are woven into the fabric of campus life, and there are abundant opportunities for student/faculty collaboration.

At CSU System institutions, education extends beyond the classroom. Capitalizing on the urban locations of the universities, many students enhance their academic and career experiences through numerous co-op and internship opportunities. Their efforts often have a lasting and direct impact on the community. Still other students experience the world through study-abroad programs.

WCSU Theatre

Community service is another strong and vital tradition at CSUS. The universities have extensive relationships with cultural, business, governmental and civic organizations in their communities and internationally.

CSU System institutions provide an enriching campus life for men and women through a variety of clubs, organizations, activities and events that appeal to the diverse interests and talents of students. The universities also offer a wide array of intercollegiate athletics. CSUS universities field teams at every level of NCAA competition, from Division I at Central Connecticut to Division II at Southern Connecticut to Division III at Eastern and Western.
